나는 정한 곳 없이 이리저리 떠돌아다니는 방랑의 시작점으로 삼아 겨울 나그네의 주인공이 성문을 떠나는, 어둠으로 향하는, 냇물을 바라보는, 묘지에 당도한 여정을 나의 주변 도시의 경계에서 찾았다. 직접적인 장소성이 드러나진 않는다. 작업 이미지는 눈이 내리는 장면과 산책하는 발, 꿈으로 진입하는 통로를 시각화하였고, 텍스트의 내용은 겨울 나그네의 시 중 마음에 와닿는 문구를 고르고 조용히 산책할 수 없는 상태에 머물러있다. 또한, 꿈과 현실을 강박적으로 오가는 화자(퍼포머)를 통해 행동으로 <겨울 나그네> 원곡의 서정성을 역설적으로 해체하면서도, 이어지기 어려운 경계 넘기를 표현하고, 완벽한 나의 방랑을 바라는 마음을 담았다. 본 작업은 <방랑의 몽타주: 겨울나그네> (Platform L)에서 선보였다.
I find at the boundary of cities close to me a wanderer’s itinerary in which he leaves a castle, heads to darkness, looks at a stream, and arrives at a cemetery. Here, you cannot find out direct placeness. As for image, I visualized falling snow, walking feet, and an entrance into a dream. As for text, I chose an impressive phrase from Wilhelm Muller’s poems and became not able to take a quiet walk.
